Poverty has a zip code. Potential doesn't.

Hive Mind was created in January 2022 and has been supporting students for 1 academic year thus far. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, Hive Mind's mission is to empowers high school students from under-represented, low-income or diverse backgrounds to achieve college readiness and success. Hive Mind students have the potential and ambition to pursue a college education, but might lack the resources to achieve that dream. The organization’s services include a holistic three-year curriculum for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Each year students are guided through valuable lessons in academic preparedness, writing & critical thinking, and SAT preparation. Sessions are always held on Sundays, from 1pm - 4:30pm at Duncan Fletcher High School in Neptune Beach (here).

Hive Mind plans to recruit 6 high school sophomores from the Jacksonville area to serve as the second Hive Mind class for the 2023-2024 academic year. And to support these students, Hive Mind will also recruit over 12 volunteers. The goal is to have one big Hive Mind family at the start of Fall 2023.
