Hive Mind is recruiting current high school sophomores (class of 2027) to join our program in Fall 2024.

Requirements
​
A Hive Mind applicant must:

Maintain a strong overall grade point average of 3.5 or higher

Be from an under-represented, low-income or diverse background

Be committed to pursuing a college education

Demonstrate strong academic potential, motivation, maturity, and responsibility

Time Commitment
​
Students are required to attend all the Hive Mind Saturday sessions during their high school academic year. Each session is from 10am - 1:30pm on Saturdays when the students have high school. In addition, students should plan to spend 2-3 hours each week doing Hive Mind related work, such as homework, college essays, college applications, etc.

120+ hours of classroom instruction: We provide instruction in Math, Writing, Critical thinking development, and ACT/SAT test preparation.

Extracurricular activity: Hive Mind is something students can share with colleges as something where they went above and beyond outside of regular classroom work; attending Hive Mind 2 academic Saturdays per month for 3 years.

Weekly mentoring: Each student is assigned two dedicated mentors for 3 years from sophomore year of high school until graduation. The mentors help students with the college application process.

Professional network: Each student will be introduced to new professions and companies through shadowing days and site visits.

Financial Coverage: Hive Mind will cover all fees associated with the college application process (~$2,000) and you will receive a $1,000 stipend each year of college.
